A good teacher is someone who not only transmits knowledge but also shows concern for the welfare of their pupils. They support and inspire children while assisting them in overcoming obstacles in both school and life.
Nonetheless, there are restrictions that must be followed. Teachers have a professional duty to keep some distance from their students in order to be objective and fair in their evaluations. They are not meant to be a student’s confidante or to mix up friendship with authority.
It ultimately comes down to the specific student-teacher connection, whether a teacher can be a friend or a stranger. Some students may feel more comfortable sharing personal information with their teacher, whereas others may prefer to keep things strictly academic. The crucial thing is that both parties respect and comprehend one another.
Moreover, the bond between a student and teacher is complex. A teacher may not be a student’s buddy in the conventional sense, but they can still offer advice and support. It is up to each person to decide how close they feel they can get without violating professional limits.
