THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL EDUCATION IN NIGERIA

The significance of international cultural education in Nigeria cannot be understated. Nigerian culture is incredibly diverse, with over 200 million inhabitants, and it is important that citizens comprehend their cultural roots. Arts instruction is an essential part of any society and Nigeria is no different. International cultural education encourages the comprehension of different cultures, customs, and beliefs and helps to build bonds between different populations.

International cultural education helps to nurture mutual regard and comprehension between various groups. It also fosters community-mindedness by permitting citizens to learn about their own country’s culture as well as that of other nations. This can lead to more cross-cultural interactions which are critical for economic development.

Cultural instruction also promotes unity and national pride by helping people understand the myriad cultures and customs that shape their country.

International arts education also assists in bridging the gap between generations. Young people often lack awareness of their own culture, and international cultural education can be instrumental in rectifying this issue. By introducing youngsters to the cultures of their homeland, they will develop a greater appreciation for it as well as strengthen a sense of identity and belonging.

Furthermore, international arts education fosters a sense of global citizenship. As citizens learn about other countries cultures and customs, they gain a deeper understanding of the world and its people. This can result in greater empathy for those from other countries.

In short, international arts education is crucial for all societies -including Nigeria  to promote mutual respect and understanding, foster community spirit, further unity, and national pride; bridge the gap between generations; and encourage a sense of global citizenship amongst citizens so they can be globally recognizable culturally speaking.
